#VazaJato: Behind The Scenes of The Investigative Scoop Rocking Brazil
The Car Wash anti-corruption task force has been the most important — and controversial — players in Brazilian politics in the last five years. A massage archive of leaked chats, published since June by The Intercept Brasil and partners, has shined a light on major abuses by prosecutors and Justice Minister Sergio Moro. The revelations have provoked a political firestorm and a vital debate about press freedom after President Bolsonaro threatened to arrest our staff for the reporting.  
This session will pick up where the keynote left off and offer a behind-the-scenes look into our newsroom. I’ll offer an overview of The Intercept Brasil, the #VazaJato revelations and spend most of the time answering questions and discussing our editorial process and decision-making: challenges we faced, problems we solved, risks we had to deal with, etc.
