The Car Wash anti-corruption task force has been an extremely important and controversial player in Brazilian politics in the last five years. A massive archive of leaked chats and documents, being published by The Intercept Brasil and partners, has shined a light on major abuses by prosecutors and Justice Minister Sergio Moro. The revelations have provoked a political firestorm and a vital debate about press freedom after President Bolsonaro threatened to arrest our staff for the reporting.
