At News Labs we've worked on a bunch of exciting prototypes over the past year that help our journalists work faster, and with more rich and exciting content.


I plan to show wider what we've been doing over the past year. These include:

SUMMA: A collection of tools for monitoring multilingual news across the world
- TV Slicer: automatic slicing of content, allowing users to skip to the news they want
- Subtitaliser: Making video content more accessible through machine-assisted subtitling
- In-article chatbots: Explaining the news to less engaged readers
